With Guyanese leaders taking key steps to monetize the nation’s oil and gas resources, it is incumbent on the citizenry to pursue the booming opportunities for wealth creation and not depend solely on state help.
This advice was proffered by Guyana’s Ambassador to Venezuela, Dr. Van West Charles during his appearance on the Energy Perspectives Podcast – powered by the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo.’
The diplomat, who assumed his post in January 2024, noted that initiatives such as the US$2B gas-to-energy project will allow Guyana to execute its vision for energy and food security, adding that the possibilities for job creation and investment in new areas are immense.
