The team at the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo underwent four days of rigorous in-person training by Sandler, one of the leading training and professional development companies in the world.
The in-person sessions commenced on July 22 and concluded July 25, 2024, at the Secretariat’s headquarters in Prashad Nagar. It was led by Mr Robin Singh of Sandler Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Mr Singh is a proven strategist and sales expert with over 20 years of experience; he is also one of the leading franchise holders for Sandler.
Singh’s training was executed in two parts: Leadership and Sales Development; this was done with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Energy Conference, Kiana Wilburg; Director of Media and Operations, Fareeza Haniff; and former Energy Conference Head, Kurt Baboolall. This team was instructed on the fundamentals of SWOT analysis, conducting said analysis for the Secretariat, and gaining insights into effective business management, client retention strategies, and the principles of effective communication.
The Sales Development training included, Account Managers Kamine Ganesh and Rohan Albert, along with Sales and Operations Support, Javid Tilakdhary. Their introductory course encompassed techniques for impactful sales communication, analysis of client behaviours, and confidence-building exercises designed to elevate their interpersonal skills and strategic engagement capabilities.
Director of Media and Operations, Fareeza Haniff underscored the importance of this training, noting that it provides the team with cutting-edge techniques and insights that are crucial in today’s competitive environment.
“The skills and knowledge we have gained from Mr Singh will undoubtedly enhance our team’s ability to communicate effectively with clients and understand their needs better, ultimately driving our success and growth,” said Haniff.
The Director was also keen to note that this training is an apt demonstration of the commitment of our Chairman, Mr Anthony Whyte, to professional development, thereby keeping the Guyana Energy Conference at the forefront of industry excellence.
