Jay Persaud serves as EY’s Global Emerging Technology Ecosystem (GETE) Leader, working across service lines to manage a portfolio of relationships with emerging technology companies in areas such as AI and data platforms.

In his role, Jay leads a global team that identifies, curates and manages new alliances with these innovative companies to power EY’s next phase of growth.

In addition, Jay serves as a Global Client Service Partner and Senior Advisory Partner across several accounts, as well as executive sponsor of several technology alliances. More recently, Jay has been actively engaged with EY’s growing practice in Guyana.

He previously served as Vice Chair of Risk Management in the U.S. and Americas. During his 30+ years at EY, Jay has built several practices, held several market-facing and leadership roles across numerous businesses and global accounts, and is widely recognized for his steadfast leadership and commitment to upholding the health and safety of everyone at EY during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He was formerly the Presiding Partner of EY Americas and U.S. Partner Councils, and a member of EY Global Governance Council, Global Practice Group, Americas Operating Executive, and US Executive Committee. He is a graduate of the University of Calgary and Harvard Business School.

He also holds a US CPA and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada).
