Pradeepa is an Environmental Economist who is the Senior Director of Climate and REDD+ at the Ministry of Natural Resources in Guyana. She is also the National Focal Point for Guyana to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Pradeepa has knowledge and experience at the senior management level in areas of sustainable development, climate policy and financing.


She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Guyana (2002), a Master’s of Science Degree in Environmental Economics from the University of York, UK (2004), and an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, UK (2008).


She is part of a local team implementing Guyana’s Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) 2030. Pradeepa is currently Guyana’s lead for engagement in the carbon markets and ART TREES forest carbon certification.
