Country Lead - Halliburton Guyana

Vahman Jurai is Halliburton Guyana’s Country Lead, previous to this role, Vahman was the Senior Business Development Country Manager for Venezuela. He started his career in in the Oil and Gas in 1994 with Halliburton Trinidad as a technical professional in the cementing and stimulation department.


During his 30-year career in the Oil and Gas industry, he worked in various countries including Trinidad, Suriname, Brazil, Venezuela and Mexico and held several leadership roles in the areas of technology, operations, and business development. One of Vahman’s key passions is the development of people to meet with the evolving demands in the O&G sector.


Local human resource development has been a focus for him as he sees the potential for this to be a strong bridge between Halliburton’s operations and its local footprint in the communities the company works in.


Vahman holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago. He is also a graduate from the Halliburton President’s Leadership Excellence Program. Vahman has various technical publications in the Society of Professional Engineers (SPE) journals as well as other technical bodies.
