Minister of Local Government and Regional Development of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana

Born in Suddie, along the lush Essequibo Coast of Guyana, Minister Parag attended Anna Regina Primary School before securing a place at the prestigious Queen's College in Georgetown.


To facilitate accommodation, Ms. Parag opted for the convenience of President's College, where she completed her secondary education. She subsequently earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Guyana and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School.


In 2020, Parag was appointed Minister of Public Service and subsequently became the first female Minister of Local Government and Regional Development in 2024. She is also a member of several key parliamentary committees.
