His Excellency, Mauricio Vizcaíno Crespo has been a career Diplomat since 2013 and is currently accredited as Ambassador of Mexico at the Embassy of Mexico in Georgetown, Guyana, and as Permanent Observer to CARICOM.


Amb. Vizcaíno presented Letters of Credence to the President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on January 31st, 2023.
Amb. Vizcaíno served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico from 2013 to 2014 within the Office for Regional Organisations and Mechanisms of the Americas and in the Office for Educational and Cultural Cooperation.


He was later posted to the Embassy of Mexico in Peru, in charge of the Consular Section, as well as the Cooperation, Cultural and Pacific Alliance Affairs (2014-2019). From August 2019 to November 2022, he served as Chargé of Affaires, a.i., at the Embassy of Mexico in Venezuela; during that period, he also chaired the Council of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) in Caracas, Venezuela.


He holds a B.A. in International Relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey, México, with a Double Degree in Management from the École Supérieure de Commerce deClermont-Ferrand, France.
