Abraham Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of One Communications (Guyana) Inc. (OCGY), where he leads the company’s strategy, operations, and customer experience. Most recently, Abraham served at ATN International (ATNI) as Executive Director & Strategic Advisor.
Abraham brings more than two decades of international senior leadership experience across the Caribbean, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Prior to ATNI, he was Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Trinidad & Tobago. Earlier, he held telecom leadership roles including CEO of Wataniya Telecom Maldives, Managing Director of WARF Telecom, CEO of Smart Telecom (Nepal), and CEO of UCELL in Uzbekistan. He also served as Mobile Strategy Advisor to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Abraham holds a degree in international business from Georgetown University and has taught digital marketing as an adjunct professor at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. His previous board and advisory service includes the Institute for Gender and Development Studies (University of the West Indies), AMCHAM Trinidad, and AMCHAM Uzbekistan boards. He will be based in Georgetown, Guyana, reflecting OCGY’s commitment to local leadership and national development.
