Dr. Patiño is the Commercial Vice President of HMV Engineers, one of the main engineering companies in Latin America covering Energy (Generation and Transmission), Water, Industrial Facilities, Transportation Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Mining, and Environmental Engineering with operations in Colombia, Guyana, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Trinidad &Tobago and the USA.

For over 40 years, Dr. Patiño has worked with HMV holding responsibilities as Engineering Vice President, Business Development Vice President and Director of Power Systems Studies. He holds a bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Pontificia Bolivariana University in Medellin, a Master of Science Degree in Power Systems from University of Manchester, UK and a Doctorate Degree in Power Systems from University of Manchester, UK.

Dr Patiño has been lecturer in Undergraduate and Post-graduate programs at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Pontificia Bolivariana University in Medellin.
